Hi there! We're Luke and Cat, and we're so happy you're here. We hope you'll stay a while! We’re a husband and wife wedding photographer team based in Houston, Texas. Ranchers-turned-photographers, our world looks like this: a Craftsman-style farmhouse; our newborn, Knox, in our arms; coffee in the kitchen; Edison lights on the back porch; and a pair of English bulldogs at the foot of our bed. Published :: Kacie and Jonathan on Ruffled!

Dec 21, 2012 / Weddings, Press

Merrrrrrrry Christmas!

How excited are we to show you this wedding that we shot at the beginning of the holiday season in Round Top at The Prairie by Rachel Ashwell... even more exciting is that it is featured over on Ruffled, who is doing the big reveal!

It's quite a dream come true for us to be on Ruffled! Please head over to their blog and check out the feature - this is the first time you've seen this wedding as we weren't allowed to show it on our blog until they did. Worth the wait! :)

Congratulations to this couple, Kacie and Jonathan, on planning such a unique wedding! We are so happy for you guys! We'll have the full wedding on our blog on Monday :)

Jill and Wade :: Engagement

Dec 21, 2012 / Engagements
Wowzers! We've had quite a few engagement sessions to finish out 2012, and this one was so much fun! Jill and Wade are a gorgeous couple and we had a great time with them. After they left our house, Luke and I both said how excited we were to see them again, and we can't wait until their wedding!

Meg and Kevin :: Olde Dobbin Station

Dec 19, 2012 / Weddings
We love getting to shoot at a new venue. Especially when it is somewhere as spectacular as the new Houston venue, Olde Dobbin Station.

Earier this year when Meg and Kevin told us about the place where they were going to say "I Do," I promptly googled this place and fell in love. Not to mention that as we were driving to the venue we realized it was right around the exact area where we picked up the cutest little bulldog ever, Wilma Neumayr, a few years ago. But that's another story. But a good story :)

Eventually the rings were tied to this old family bible that belonged to Meg's great grandfather. Love this.

Meg is just a classic beauty, all around. She carries herself with such poise and grace. To tell you the truth, anytime I'm around her I feel.... well... like a short, dumpy, less graceful.... hobbit. But, Meg is nice too. She is down to earth, and laid back, and the complete opposite of a diva. Soooo that makes her the type of person who I want to be around. :)

Can I just say, I just love a pregnant bridesmaid who is super excited! Meg and her sister are ready for the new baby!

Meg and Kevin chose to be married in one of the buildings at the venue that hadn't been repurposed yet. They saw the raw potential and hung the strands of lights and draped the ceiling. Since they were married after dark, this was a magnificent effect! They were married by candlelight and it was nothing less than magical.

It was reeeeeeally cold that night. We love this one of Kevin snuggling her up! :)

One of my favorite parts of the night was when Meg's father toasted the couple. He talked about how they had prayed for a young man like this for their daughter and how thankful they were that God had placed them in each others lives. He had a few funny stories to tell too, of course!

Meg and Kevin - your day was spectacular! We had a great time with you and your families and I feel so blessed that we have met you both.
