Hi there! We're Luke and Cat, and we're so happy you're here. We hope you'll stay a while! We’re a husband and wife wedding photographer team based in Houston, Texas. Ranchers-turned-photographers, our world looks like this: a Craftsman-style farmhouse; our newborn, Knox, in our arms; coffee in the kitchen; Edison lights on the back porch; and a pair of English bulldogs at the foot of our bed. Katie and Drew's Wedding :: Houston Wedding Photographer

Aug 24, 2012 / Weddings

Finally we get to show you this amazing day!

As you know, since Style Me Pretty was doing the big reveal, we weren't able to show you any of Katie and Drew's wedding day images until they had made their debut on SMP. Finally we get to share their day!

Katie is stunnnnnnnning! She also makes everyone around her smile. We are so blessed to have met her!

See that little gnome there? There were plenty of them. Infact, the theme of this wedding was Garden Gnomes!

Here's the groom, looking quite dapper!

Katie's bridesmaids all got to choose a dress of their own choice, and they also each had a different bouquet. We also should mention that this barn that they are standing in front of was painted coral specifically for Katie and Drew's big day!

The bridesman of the group had a stylish fashion ensemble as well, complete with the crocheted boutonnière, rolled up jeans, and saddle shoes.

Katie had told us before the big day that she wanted something more for her formal portraits. She said that she didn't want the same ol' same ol' where people are standing in front of an alter with stuffy smiles. She wanted portraits that captured personalities and relationships. We're going to do a whole post about her amazing formal portraits, but we couldn't resist one of our favorites from her and the bridesmaids.

Katie and Drew didn't see each other before the ceremony, but Katie did choose to do a first look with her father. We love love love this moment where Katie's dad saw his daughter for the first time in her wedding gown.

Another thing Katie told us is that she is nuts over her family. She said it was very important to have a portrait of her and her parents that really would show their relationship.

As the sun started to go down, Katie's brother sat at the edge of the picket fenced ceremony area and strummed his guitar while their friends and family arrived.

Atop the old-fashioned Persian rug (that now lays right in the middle of their living room), Katie and Drew smiled, laughed, and said their I Do's!

We all headed right across the street to Main Street Crossing for the reception.

The milk and cookies table was a huge hit! All of the cookies were baked by the bride and her family friends. Ice cold milk in mason jars was the perfect compliment!

This awesome huge hand-painted mural (of Katie and Drew as gnomes) was painted by Katie's sister in law! How creative and talented this family is!

The picture on the right is maybe our favorite... Katie's face is like, "I got you, Drew. I am soooo funny!"

All night long we would see Katie and Drew off by themselves having adorable moments like this. Everyone kept mentioning all night how these two are the perfect match, and how happy they are. We agree 100%!

Katie and Drew, where do we even begin? It seems like we have known you guys forever, and we are so thankful to have met you. You had an incredible day, and we are so excited to see where life takes you, friends!
