Hi there! We're Luke and Cat, and we're so happy you're here. We hope you'll stay a while! We’re a husband and wife wedding photographer team based in Houston, Texas. Ranchers-turned-photographers, our world looks like this: a Craftsman-style farmhouse; our newborn, Knox, in our arms; coffee in the kitchen; Edison lights on the back porch; and a pair of English bulldogs at the foot of our bed. Downtown Houston Wedding :: Margaret and Matt

Feb 24, 2014 / Weddings
We have been so excited to share this fantastic downtown Houston wedding with you all! Margaret and Matt (you may remember them from their engagement session) are two incredible people and we feel so lucky to have gotten to know them and be friends with them as they planned their wedding. They planned a beautiful wedding around all of the best downtown hotspots, starting out at The Magnolia Hotel to get ready, then to the ceremony at the gorgeous downtown Holy Rosary Catholic Church, and finally, an amazing party at Sambuca.

Above all though, Margaret and Matt are such genuine people. Their love and the way they love their friends and family is so rare to see, and I am so happy we got to witness this all first hand. :)

We're Eating like Cavemen!

Feb 20, 2014 / Our Life
We are at the end of week two of our Paleo "diet" and we love it. If you follow along with us on Instagram, you are already in the know about this!

I have to admit - when Cat first asked me about starting Paleo, I was thinking, "Here we go again, another crazy trend diet to try!", but I listened to her and started to research it a little bit myself. Some of our good friends have done Paleo in the past and are still continuing to do it, so I figured we could give it a shot.

Disclaimer time! The first couple of days were awful! We found out from Dr. Google that our bodies were going through withdrawals from not having any sugar or other "bad" foods that we ate daily. A massive headache and fatigue followed us around for the first few days, but once we got over that hurdle, the rest has been great. We don't feel like we are limited on anything - we just have to Paleo-ify things we want. We have made tortillas, brownies, coffee creamer, and tons of other great foods! If you are interested in giving Paleo a shot, Cat and I have some Pinterest boards going on good recipes we have found.

Luckily for us, some of our friends have gardens and have so graciously offered fresh produce to us that they have been growing. Our kitchen is packed with fruits, vegetables, and fresh herbs!

In other news, Houston even has it's own Paleo restaurant, the Corner Table, and we are excited about making the trip in to town and trying it out.

Get ready folks, because this is the cutest little barn wedding, and we're so excited to show it to you! Krista and Cade had the neatest little country wedding at Alvin's Oakwind Bed and Breakfast. It was a casual, laid back celebration with cowboy boots, country decor, the neatest bridesmaid outfit I've ever seen, and of course, wonderful bride and groom.

Here's the adorable bridesmaid romper. It's perfect!
